Description
Binnen het Amsterdam UMC is er naast onze standaard moleculaire diagnostiek vraag naar een breed scala aan moleculaire sneldiagnostiek waarbij een korte TAT en flexibiliteit essentieel is voor zowel de patiëntenzorg als de workflow op het laboratorium. Verder is een uniforme en gestandaardiseerde workflow aangewezen, omdat deze moleculaire sneldiagnostiek op verschillende laboratoria uitgevoerd wordt. Voor deze toepassingen is het noodzakelijk gebruik te kunnen maken van snelle random access, sample-in-result-out apparatuur. Hiertoe heeft het Amsterdam UMC in 2015 en 2020 Cepheid GeneXpert platforms aangeschaft en een platform gereviseerd in 2019. De geplaatste systemen staan op zowel locatie AMC als VUmc bij het 24/7 lab CDL en MMI. De GeneXpert wordt 24/7 gebruikt om SARS-CoV-2, MRSA, VRE, C. difficile, Carbapenemase en GBS diagnostiek uit te voeren. Het GeneXpert platform is alleen compatibel met de assays en reagentia van Cepheid, zowel technisch, fysiek als volgens de geldende CE- 1
