Description
NEN op grond van Verordening 1025:20121 aangewezen is als nationale normalisatieinstelling. De kerntaken van NEN zijn het faciliteren van toegang tot het nationale normalisatieproces voor Nederlandse stakeholders en de Nederlandse inbreng in Europees (CEN/CENELEC) en mondiaal verband (ISO/IEC). De formele status van nationale normalisatie-instelling maakt NEN een unieke partner voor marktpartijen en voor de overheid. NEN is een stichting zonder winstoogmerk die er als neutrale partij voor zorgt, dat stakeholders tot verschillende typen afspraken, zoals normen, praktijkrichtlijnen (NPR), technische afspraken (NTA) en certificatieschema’s (NCS) kunnen komen. NEN zal zich inspannen om binnen het beleidsterrein van de directie G&VW werkzaamheden in het kader van normalisatie en standaardisatie uit te voeren.
