A projekt fő célja Miskolc, Szentgyörgy út és a Klapka György. út osztott pályás, 2x2 forgalmi sávjának és ennek folytatásaként a Pattantyús Ábrahám Géza út 2x1 forgalmi sávjának burkolat felújítása.
