Description

The chopper system will be used to create a pulsed neutron beam out of the continuous beam at the ICON, NEUTRA and BOA instruments, in order to perform wavelength resolved neutron imaging measurements based on the time-of-flight (ToF) method. The chopper system will be used to this purpose in combination with a detector system which is not part of the present tender. The chopper system will not be permanently installed in any instrument, but will be mounted and dismounted in the desired instrument according to the experimental measurement program.
