Der Auftraggeber beabsichtigt die Hauptstraße und den Solplatz im Rahmen des Bund-Länder-Förderprogramms "Lebendige Zentren" umzugestalten. Bei dem Plangebiet der Hauptstraße und des Solplatzes handelt sich um eine Fläche von ca. 5.505 m², welche bei einer Umgestaltung als Fußgängerzone unter das Leistungsbild der Freianlagen nach § 39 HOAI fällt.
