Description
Die Stadt Ahlen verfolgt mit dem aus mehreren Gebäuden (u. a. auch der Stadtbücherei) bestehenden Bürgercampus das Ziel eines integrierten Verwaltungs-, Kultur-, und Bildungszentrums. Bei dem bestehenden denkmalgeschützten Gebäude der Stadtbücherei (Baujahr Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts) handelt es sich um ein massives Bauwerk mit 3 Vollgeschossen, ein Dachgeschoss und einem Vollkeller. Diese Räume werden zum Großteil als Aufenthaltsräume bzw. Büros genutzt. Geplant ist die gesamte Gebäudehülle sowie insbesondere die Sanitäranlagen und die Elektroinstallationen zu sanieren.
