Description

This spinning disk (SD) microscope is required for high and super-resolution (SR) microscopy of subcellular and small complexes such as endocytic structures and single molecules but also whole cells and tissues, both fixed and living. We require fast image acquisition rates and the ability to track cellular processes for several hours without loss of focus and without excessive bleaching. Total internal reflection (TIRF) microscopy is also required for the analysis of structures close to the membrane. In addition, high acquisition speed is required for studies on the dynamics of individual molecules within larger complexes, to be carried out using fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP). In addition to hardware requirements, a comprehensive software solution is also required. The software automation should rely on artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to control both microscope and its components during acquisition and scientific data evaluation.
