Description

The assignment concerns the reconstruction of the road in Elfde Liniestraat as part of Spartacus Lijn 2 (High-quality Public Transport between Hasselt and Maasmechelen). The Elfde Liniestraat will be made car-free and designed exclusively for active road users and High-quality Public Transport. After all, this street runs in the middle of a number of educational and student facilities and other public functions such as the swimming pool and Kapermolen Park. The current main stop at Dusartplein will be supplemented and replaced by a triangular staging area at the intersection of Koning Boudewijnlaan and Elfde Liniestraat. This will allow the stopping of the high-grade public transport lines as well as the regular lines and make the stop flexibly usable in case of events and thus contains growth possibilities towards the future.
