Předmětem VZ je přestavba původně uhelného parního kotle K4 na kotel plně biomasový. Aktuálně je dokončována 1. etapa rekonstrukce kotle K4, jejímž výsledkem bude spalování 50% uhlí a 50% biomasy. Ve 2. etapě, která je předmětem VZ, dojde k rekonstrukci kotle K4 na parní kotel spalující 100 % biomasy.
