Description
Statsbygg is constructing the new Life Science Building for the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, with South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) as co-client. The building will provide workplace facilities for approximately 1,600 employees and 1,600 students. Excavation and groundworks commenced in the second quarter of 2019, and the building is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The facility will bring together a wide range of academic disciplines in a multidisciplinary environment to develop new solutions to major challenges in health and sustainability. Researchers, educators, and innovators will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure required to conduct world-class research, teaching, and innovation.
