Description

Various microbial organisms are studied at VTT’s Industrial Biotechnology and Food research area. For high-throughput research and development purposes, a microbial colony picker is needed. Colony picker is a device that is able to detect a single microbial colony and transfer microbial cells from it to a desired consumable (e.g. a microtiter plate filled with liquid). VTT aims to purchase this type of device, which would help to automate manual laboratory work. The detailed requirements of the device are presented in the attachment.
