With this request for information, HUS launches a market consultation to prepare a procurement. The aim of this prior information notice is to find suppliers operating in this field of business, get information of the solutions available in the market, and inform our plans and requirements for the forthcoming procurement. SUBJECT OF PROCUREMENT The subject of the procurement is radioactive seeds for localizing breast cancer. The seeds are used for marking breast cancer lesions and lymph nodes to assist the surgeon in locating them during surgery. We are interested in learning about products currently available on the market with a radioactive activity level of 0.1–0.2 mCi. The respondents are asked to provide information on the following questions: - What is the activity level per seed? - What are the sizes and any other relevant properties of the needles used for seed implantation? - Are the seeds pre-loaded into a needle, or are the needles supplied separately? - How are the seeds packed (individually/strands)? - What is the estimated delivery time (starting from the next business day after order has been placed)? - Are the seed containers recyclable, or do they remain with th…
