Strömstad kommun har beslutat att genomföra upphandlingen av projektet Renovering Kassunkajen vilken idag är i dåligt skick och uppvisar omfattande betongskador och rostangrepp på armering. Åtgärder behöver därför vidtas för att kajen fortsatt ska kunna hållas i bruk. Med denna entreprenad, en totalentreprenad i partnering, ämnar Strömstad kommun reparera Kassunkajen så att en livslängd om 50 år erhålls eller vid nybyggnation 100 års livslängd.
