Die Ruhr Tourismus GmbH ist eine Tochtergesellschaft des Regionalverbandes Ruhr (RVR) und wurde 1998 gegründet. Ziel ist die Bündelung von Produktentwicklung, Marketing und Vertrieb sowie die Entwicklung eines eigenständigen touristischen Regionalprofils für die Metropole Ruhr. Zur Erreichung dieses Ziels hat die RTG die Beschaffung einer Rahmenvereinbarung über die Konzeption und Erbringung von OoH-Mediadienstleistungen ausgeschrieben.
