Description
The High Field Magnet Laboratory and Free-Electron Lasers for Infrared Experiment (HFML- FELIX) is an internationally renowned lab that offers world-unique research opportunities. The high field magnets, infrared and THz free-electron lasers and the combination thereof are used to explore the properties and structure of (new) materials. One important step in the measurement process is the preparation and conditioning of the materials and electrical contacts on samples. For that the laboratory has different techniques. The purpose of this contract is to provide a new e-beam deposition system that will be used for small R&D applications. The system aims to replace an existing deposition system that has been used for about 20 years. The primary goal is to replace and enhance our old system with a safer and more automated system that additionally has a sample pre-clean unit.
