Description
The contract concerns the project "OSGi Modernization", which covers the systematic updating of the OSGi framework — its specifications, Technology Compatibility Kits TCKs, core implementations, and build tooling — to align with contemporary Java and Jakarta EE standards, strengthen supply-chain security, and reduce the long-term maintenance burden carried by a widely depended-upon open-source component. As part of several work packages, the contract covers especially SBOM generation and vulnerability scanning, javax- to-Jakarta namespace migration, build pipeline and CI modernization, and TCK rigor and security hardening. The aim of this service is to sustain the security, interoperability, and long-term reliability of a foundational layer of open digital infrastructure that underpins critical applications across enterprise systems, industrial IoT, aerospace, and developer tooling.
