Description
Het elektriciteitsnet raakt in de regio's Rijnland-Beneden Noord-Holland en Veluwe-Gooi-Flevoland op steeds meer plaatsen vol. Dit komt onder meer door de groeiende economie, de digitalisering van de samenleving, het in recordtempo bouwen van huizen en de overstap van veel ondernemers en consumenten van aardgas naar elektriciteit. Bovendien zijn deze regio’s aantrekkelijk voor opwek van duurzame energie via zonne- en windparken. Het elektriciteitsnet moet hiervoor uitgebreid worden. Dit gaat echter niet zo snel als het tempo waarin ontwikkelingen nu plaatsvinden. Dit programma met de aanleg van duizenden kilometers kabel en de plaatsing van een groot aantal nieuwe stations is een belangrijk middel om de problemen in het elektriciteitsnet op te lossen. Zo maakt Liander verdere verduurzaming en de economische ontwikkeling in deze regio's mogelijk.
