Description
The police need to acquire three young dogs for patrol dogs. The dogs must be trained and ready for final training for approval for operational service. Aptitude tests are scheduled for weeks 17 and 18, delivery of the dog must take place no later than week 20/2024. Option: There is an additional need for up to three dogs. The call requires available funding. The extent of the number of aptitude tests will take this option into account. The delivery time may deviate from the requirement in the competition. The deadline for exercising the option is 31st of May 2024. Patrol dogs are trained in searching for people in different environments and searching for objects that smell like humans. Furthermore, patrol dogs are approved as a means of force and can be used in apprehending people in different types of environments. Within the patrol dog category, there are some dogs with additional expertise in the form of drug searches, gun searches, avalanche (winter training), USAR and criminal searches.
