Description

The Norwegian Defence needs to procure up to 28 puppies in 2026. The puppies are intended for education as patrol dogs in the Norwegian Armed Forces. Delivery is wanted in the period April-June, or September. Tenders with delivery at the desired time frame will be weighted positively, other delivery times are not disqualifying. Patrol dogs have education in search of people in different environments and search for objects it smells of people of. Furthermore, the patrol dogs are approved as a means of power and can be used in the apprehension of persons in different types of environments. There are some dogs with additional competence in the form of drug searches, weapons searches, lavine searches (winter education), USAR and criminal searches within the patrol dog category. The patrol dogs shall be socially stable, have good prey and must be environmentally strong. The current breeds are mainly based on Schæfer and Malinois, as well as blends of them. The final approval and sufficient financing are subject to signing of the contract before the contract is signed.
