Gradnja je razdeljena v dve fazi: 1. faza: predvidena izgradnja prizidka nove jedilnice in tehničnega prostora v pritličju ter dve novi učilnici s kabineti in pisarniškimi prostori za šolsko osebje v nadstropju s sanitarijami. 2. faza: predvidena rekonstrukcija in povečava kuhinje v obstoječem delu objekta OŠ Kanal.
