Description
In 2022 the EMCDDA launched a e-learning platform called PLATO (Practice Training Platform) to initially host the European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC). PLATO is a multilingual integrated platform designed to facilitate e-learning and exchange through a virtual community of practice (VCP). The e-learning platform enabled faster, broader and virtual access to scientific content on prevention and it is now ready to be scaled up and include contents on other areas of intervention such as treatment, harm reduction, social reintegration, and crime prevention. EUDA will use the success and the systematic 360º evaluation of PLATO as a base to scale it up and broaden its scope to host training in other areas of drug-related issues and to assist Member States (MS) in organising training and capacity building initiatives, in agreement with the demands of the new mandate .
