Hankinnan kohteena on Eläinlääkintähuoltolain 285/2023 9 § 2 mom mukaisen kiireellisen eläinlääkärinavun järjestäminen ostopalveluna Tampereen ympäristöterveyden alueellisen eläinlääkintähuollon toiminta-alueen sekä Pirkkalan kunnan Ympäristöterveys Pirtevan toiminta-alueen 10 § 3 momentin mukaisille pieneläinasiakkaille (jäljempänä ”pieneläinpäivystys”).
