Description
The ‘Peptide Foundry’ center requires the purchase of equipment for parallel peptide synthesis with heating of the reactions during peptide synthesis. The equipment will be an replacement and will utilize existing equipment parts. It is the contracting entity’s assessment that there is no other supplier than Biotage A/B that can meet the technical requirements for the instruments due to the technical specifications and the need to utilize existing parts. Interoperability with an existing peptide synthesis instrument is essential. This includes that the parallel synthesis instruments use the same software (Syro software) as an existing Syro I instrument and can use existing peptide synthesis reactor blocks. The new equipment should allow the efficient parallel synthesis of complex peptides in a variety of synthesis format, hence with different synthesis reactors including tips. This includes the ability to synthesize up to 576 peptides in parallel in tips reactors (made of PE, not cellulose or paper). Furthermore, the new equipment should have multiple, independently operated syringe pumps, and two separate robotic arms, one for dispensing reagents and one for wash solvents
