Description
De Universiteit Gent voorziet op haar campus De Sterre de nieuwbouw van een onderzoeksgebouw voor de vakgroepen “WE06 – Chemie” en “WE07 - Organische en Macromoleculaire Chemie”. Beide vakgroepen zijn reeds op de campus gevestigd en gaan zich in het nieuwe project vestigen onder één dak om zo optimaal te kunnen inzetten op een efficiënt gebruik van de nodige infrastructuur. Het nieuwe onderzoeksgebouw plant zich in aan de zijde van de De Pintelaan, grenzend rechtstreeks aan de perceelsgrens en centraal gelegen tussen de gebouwen S8, S9, S10 en S30. Hierbij dient S11 het gezicht van de ‘logistieke cluster’ te vormen. S11 bevindt zich letterlijk op de grens tussen een afsluitbare logistieke zone die niet voor het publiek toegankelijk is en een meer transparante zijde toegankelijk voor onderzoekers en studenten. Het project bevat het volgende programma: - Kantoren en ondersteunende lokalen voor ruim 200 VTE’s - Onderzoekslaboratoria en ondersteunende lokalen - Logistieke zone (o.a. laad- en loszone, PMGE-lokalen, afvallokalen, gasopslagplaats, klimaatkamers,..) - Fietsenstalling, afvalberging en hekwerk met schuifpoort - Buitenaanleg met fietspad, infiltratievoorziening en helofyten…
