Die Verbandsgemeinde Alzey-Land ist Trägerin der Grundschule in Bechtolsheim. Die Grundschule in Bechtolsheim muss räumlich auf eine zweizügige Grundschule erweitert werden. Für das Schulgebäude hat man sich nach einer Wirtschaftlichkeitsbetrachtung für einen Neubau entschieden. Hier werden jetzt die Metallbau Innentüren und Fenster ausgeschrieben.
