Description

The assignment mainly includes sample work, laboratory analyses and reporting both levels and the type of microplastics in environmental samples. Tests from other of the Norwegian Environment Agency ́s monitoring programmes in coastal areas, rivers, lakes and air are available for the chosen tenderer. For some types of samples that are not available via established environment monitoring programmes, the chosen supplier for this assignment shall also carry out sample collection via different options. The sample collection will make up a small part of the assignment in total. The assignment also includes an option for chemical determination of environmental toxins connected to the microplastics. Analyses and samples in laboratories shall be procured. The execution of this type of service is already strictly regulated through strict environmental requirements for the operation of laboratories. In its nature, the procurement has a climate footprint and an environmental impact that is immaterial. Climate and environmental considerations are therefore not an award criterion in this procurement.
