Description

The Hospital intend to invoke Article 32 for derogation from tendering for the purchase of a Molecular Near Patient Testing Diagnostic System including the supply, installation, maintenance and ongoing training. • Each test processed will produce PCR results for at least the following 4 respiratory infections. o SARS CoV-2 o Flu A o Flu B o RSV • Results available in less than 1 hour. • Results produced must contain a CT value. • Process at least 4 samples at any one time. • Integrated quality control. (No requirement for user to run a separate sample for QC) • Reduced pre-analytical steps (preference for limited requirement to mix reagents, use of buffers etc. Middleware supplied must be possible to interface to Winpath V5 (current LIMS) & Winpath Enterprise (future LIMS) Currently there is only one supplier of this type of Molecular Near Patient Testing Diagnostic System. Competition is absent for technical reasons which is a case provided for in Section (2) (ii) of Article 32 of Directive 2014/24/EU
