De afdelingen Radiologie & Nucleaire Geneeskunde, Pathologie, Kinderchirurgie en het Vrouw-Kind Centrum van Amsterdam UMC vormen samen een toonaangevend centrum op het gebied van preklinisch en postmortaal onderzoek. Ter uitbreiding van het beeldvormend portfolio is Amsterdam UMC voornemens een Micro Spectraal CT scanner aan te schaffen. Deze geavanceerde scanner zal een belangrijke impuls geven aan innovatief, minimaal invasief beeldvormend en translationeel onderzoek. De toepassing van de Micro Spectraal CT scanner zal breed zijn, met onder andere inzet voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar embryonale ontwikkeling, perinatale zorg en forensische toepassingen. 1
