Description

The Leiden Academic Centre for Drugs Research (LACDR), part of the Faculty of Science of Leiden University, is developing rapid metabolomics, lipidomics and exposomics measurements of blood and other biological samples.  LACDR wants to analyse metabolites, lipids and small molecules quantitatively with a good dynamic range and at the same identify or confirm the identity of detected features. LACDR therefore need a MS with high resolution, a high dynamic range, rapid MS/MS capabilities offering good sensitivity for quantification, and conventional collision induced dissociation (CID) fragmentation as well as advanced electron activated dissociation (EAD)  fragmentation combined with trapping of fragment ions using Zeno trapping to characterize lipids and metabolites. For this purpose we have acquired a Sciex 7600 Mass Spectrometer by means of the negotiated procedure. No representations were received after our publication of our intended purchase.
