Description
Radboudumc gebruikt de oncologische implantaten (vor de onderste extremiteit) van de firma LINK Nederland. Het is voor Radboudumc van belang huidige werkwijze en behandelregime te handhaven. Daarvoor is een nieuwe raamovereenkomst nodig met de zittende partij. Overgaan op een alternatief is redelijkerwijs niet mogelijk. Het lage aantal operaties, de lange leercurve (jaren) voor de orthopedisch chirurgen en de complexiteit van deze zeer grote operaties (initieel en revisies), maken dat switchen van fabricaat (en dus veranderen van werkwijze met verlies van expertise en ervaring) nagenoeg onmogelijk is, omdat dit de veiligheid en kwaliteit (en bijgevolg ook de doelmatigheid) van deze patiëntenzorg ernstig te kort zou doen.
