Om inzicht te verkrijgen in andere, alternatieve wijzen om afval in te zamelen in Haven-Sta Stad voert de gemeente Amsterdam verschillende onderzoeken uit. Onderwerp van deze marktconsultatie is inpandige afvalinzameling met behulp van (mini) mobiele perscontainersystemen. Zie bijlage 2 voor aanvullende informatie over de achtergronden en opzet van de onderzoeken. Als onderdeel van de marktconsultatie is een vragenlijst opgesteld voor leveranciers en producenten van (mini) mobiele perscontainersystemen (zie hierna).
