Description

Bjørnafjorden municipality will have several elderly persons and other user groups with a need for welfare services. The objective is to establish approx. 50-70 care homes in Osøyro and approx. 10-20 in Eikelandsosen towards approx. 2030, with a day and activity centre and personnel base, cf. the guiding lines in Husbanken and the Norwegian Tax Administration. The care homes must fulfil the terms from Husbanken and Skatteetaten for this type of housing, and fulfil the criterion for investment subsidy and VAT compensation. Further development of care homes in the center areas is planned until 2040. The municipality would like a dialogue with other interested parties who have plans for development in the longer term. The care homes can and will be a part of a larger housing project. The municipality may sell lots in areas that can be used for care homes. The municipality shall not build, own or operate the care homes, but will enter into a contract with parties who are responsible for this, whereby the municipality is obliged to lease them for at least 30 years for sublease to users.
