Description

The Biosensor required by Wageningen University & Research should be multi-purpose and multi-functional for scientific research. It should be able to measure a full SPR curve to support layer studies and eliminate bulk effects. It should include flow cells for Plasmon Enhanced Fluorescence, supporting a range of fluorescent dyes and respective emissions. The Biosensor must have electrochemical detection capabilities offering an in-flow monitoring setup. A lower molecular size detection limit of ≤ 100 Dalton is essential. The system and its flow cells should be highly resistant to multiple organic solvents and be able to handle high solvent concentration-induced SPR signal shifts. The device must operate from 20ºC to 45ºC, support open-source chips for user-deposited chemistry, and preferably have options to detect volatiles in a gas phase and support the characterization of living cell monolayers. It should offer straightforward maintenance to avoid costly service contracts.
