Description
TenneT TSO GmbH is one of the four transmission system operators in Germany, tasked with the transportation of electricity and the operation, maintenance, and expansion of the extra-high voltage grid in the 220 kV and 380 kV range across large parts of the country, including the north, center, and southeast. Additionally, its German sister company, TenneT Offshore GmbH, is responsible for the construction and operation of the offshore grid in the North Sea, which connects wind farms to the mainland. TenneT operates approximately 140 substations both on land and at sea.
