Description

Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) holds a multitude of contracts with gas producers/operators. Typically, 40% of the gas produced by the producers is owned by EBN. This EBN owned gas is currently sold to GasTerra, on the flanges of the Transmission System Operator (TSO) of the Dutch high pressure natural gas network, Gasunie Transport Services (GTS). EBN has decided to become a fully recognized gas trading and shipping party to be able to sell its own gas as from 1st of January 2025. For this purpose, EBN has acquired and is in the process of installing a system (EBase) that amongst other services provides for dispatching services as well. Next to the necessary software EBN is shaping its Sales organization including dispatch services. EBN dispatching services will be focused on meeting the contractual obligations and managing the Portfolio Imbalance Signal (POS) ensuring the overall TSO (National Grid) system balance, visualized by the System Imbalance Signal (SBS), is maintained. For this purpose dispatchers will be allowed to take necessary actions on TTF or energy exchanges such as ICE Endex and EEX.
