Description

The subject of the contract is a maritime analysis tool to support Frontex’s maritime analysis function by providing capabilities to analyse and derive insights out of ‘big maritime data’. The maritime analytics implies the competent use of the system to support the development and implementation of risk profiles as well as to identify and monitor areas used as embarkation or transit points for irregular migration and cross-border crime. The maritime analytics system should provide a user-friendly interface and include the integration and fusion of data/information from an increased number of sources. In addition, it is requested to enable customized search rules and queries based on specific ship behaviours. The detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) are included in Annex-I. According to the Maritime Analysis Tool ToR (see Annex-I), the ‘usability requirements’ are listed as the following functionalities from the risk analysis perspective that the Maritime Analysis Tool should provide to Frontex analysts: a. to capture, store and manage global maritime big data, for at least 5 years previous to the query. b. to fuse and integrate maritime ’big data’ with vessels’ historical data, for…
