Description
Longford County Council is seeking quotations for the construction and rehabilitation of 6 bridges in the county. These bridges comprise of one concrete slab and five masonry arch bridges on local roads around the county as shown in the map provided below. The nature of the works includes but is not limited to the following: reconstruction of masonry elements, allowing fencing to tie into masonry parapets, repointing of masonry elements, replacement of soft verges with concrete rubbing stripes, removal of vegetation and removal of debris from the riverbed. There are five bridges in north to mid Longford and one bridge south of the county. The bridge identification are as follows: • Currygranny- Ballagh (Masonry Stone Arch) • Liscahill – Gneeve (Masonry Stone Arch) • Tawnagh – Aghadowry (Concrete Slab) • Dromard Gaa – Leggagh (Masonry Stone Arch) • Crott – Smear (Masonry Stone Arch) • Drummeel – Breaghy (New Box Culvert)
