Description
Binnen het CEP Upgrade project is eerder een aanbesteding verricht voor twee netwerk switches voor de Centrale Processor. Men richt zich nu op de volgende stappen: • Vervanging van de Cobalt 2 correlator die gebruikt wordt voor interferometrie en beamforming door een nieuw GPU gebaseerd Cobalt 3 systeem dat dataverwerking met tensor cores op de voor het DUPLLO project benodigde snelheden ondersteunt; • Vervanging van het CEP4 post-processing cluster en dataopslag door een vergelijkbaar CEP6 cluster en CEP6 dataopslag die in staat zijn om de benodigde berekeningen en datasnelheden voor het DUPLLO project te ondersteunen. Een veelheid van apparatuur binnen de segementen GPU servers, Enterprise Data Storage en Compute servers.
