Description
Elia Transmission Belgium operates the electricity transmission network in Belgium. We manage the Belgian high-voltage transmission grid (30 kV to 400 kV), which comprises over 8,849 km of overhead lines and underground cables. To meet the challenges linked to the integration of renewables, the implementation of different environmental and societal policies, asset management, etc., a reflection took place to optimize maintenance and repair works with the installation in service. After an analysis of different work methods, it was decided to carry out several maintenances works by using an helikopter method. This work will be carried out on the phase conductors and earth conductors. They will be carried out as much as possible by maintaining the voltage on the phase conductors. The Framework Agreement is initially set to have a duration of four years, with the option to extend it for an additional two years, twice.
