Description

De scope van dit traject omvat het leveren van ontzilt zand voor zandbed, tijdens leidingwerkzaamheden voor het aanvullen van sleuven waar vervuilde of slecht verdichtbare grond uitkomt. De keuze voor het type zand (circulair of ontzilt) wordt per project door Stichting Watermaatschappij Amsterdam gemaakt en ligt bij de projectleider. Uitgangspunt is dat waar mogelijk eerst circulair zand wordt toegepast, mits dit technisch geschikt is en beschikbaar. Dit wordt momenteel eerst afgehaald bij de Grondbank van Amsterdam (indien beschikbaar). Circulair zand kan in sommige gevallen minder goed verdichtbaar zijn. Om die reden wordt per project beoordeeld welk type zand voldoet aan de vereiste technische specificaties, waaronder de benodigde verdichtingsgraad. Indien circulair zand niet geschikt of niet beschikbaar is, wordt ontzilt zand toegepast.
