Description
Intention noticeLier municipality intends to enter into an agreement with Viken Fibre AS for the delivery of WAN communication and internet access to the municipality ́s locations. Viken Fiber AS is the current supplier and has established connections for high speed broadband for all of the municipality ́s locations. The current supplier ́s position means that, according to the contracting authority ́s assessment, this is a sole supplier situation, where the current supplier has established a comprehensive infrastructure in the municipality. It is assumed that the value of the upgrade is above the threshold of NOK 1.3 million and that such contracts must initially be announced in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations. However, § 5-2 first paragraph states that part II of the regulations does not apply for contracts that the Contracting Authority can enter into with a specific tenderer.
