Description

This Assignment is financed from official Danish development assistance through the Danish Africa Water facility (Danish Finance Act § 06.32.01.32). Emphasis is therefore on providing safe and affordable access to water for all (Sustainable Development Goal 6.1), increase water-use efficiency and ensure freshwater supplies (Sustainable Development Goal 6.4) and to raise capacity for planning and management of climate change (Sustainable Goal 13.5). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Danish Embassy, Nairobi (RDE) is the funding agency and Water Resources Authority (WRA) is the Recipient of the outcome of the Assignment. The Assignment aims at operating with a high level of local content by engaging local partners with the view of increasing the long-term sustainability of digital systems and ease of their future maintenance as well as enhanced dialogue on water use with local communities.
