The Agri‑Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) is one of the world’s leading providers of scientific research and evidence-based services to government, non-governmental, and commercial organisations. With a unique breadth of facilities and multidisciplinary scientific capability spanning agriculture, animal health, food, the environment, biosciences, and economics, AFBI undertakes a wide range of impactful research projects for both the public and private sectors.Funding has been secured through the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) administered PEACEPLUS scheme to deliver the ACCLIMATISE project, an all-island initiative aimed at developing an integrated marine climate change monitoring and assessment toolbox for the island of Ireland. As part of this programme, AFBI is seeking to procure next‑generation observational technologies capable of monitoring and quantifying changes in plankton communities and associated marine food webs within the Irish Sea.
