Vajalik trammiteede hoolduseks. Hooldustramm võimaldab rööbastee lihvimist, harjamist nii suvel kui talvel, rööbastee puhastamist lumest ja kontaktliinilt härmatise eemaldamist. Praegu kasutusel olevad tehnilised trammid on tehniliselt ja moraalselt vananenud ning nende jätkuv ekspluatatsioon on ebamõistlik.
