Opera Østfold is a regional opera located in Halden. Opera Østfold has 4 permanent employees, and it produces opera for young and old throughout the year. Every two years the Opera Østfold produces a major outdoor opera performance at Fredriksten Festning. The next production is Donizettis Ellisir d'amore. Ellisir d'Amore will premiere 11 June 2025, and approx. 2,200 audience members are expected per performance.
