Description
GSI-FAIR develops a high precision Single Stretched Wire measurement system for qualification of the magnetic field parameters of superconducting quadrupole units for SIS100 synchrotron. The motion system is a critical component of the measurement system. It facilitates the controlled movement of a stretched wire through the magnetic field to collect measurement data. The desired motion system must fulfill following requirements: - Total travel range of motion: 150-300 mm - Movement Accuracy: better than +/-2 ?m for whole system after assembling at the supports - guarantees. - Bidirectional repeatability of the translators ? 0.2 ?m. - Integrated linear encoder - for precise position measurement, providing real-time feedback of the actual position - Straightness/Flatness: straightness ? ±3 ?m - Angular errors in pitch and yaw ? ±50 ?rad. - Motion controller for 5 axis. Motion controller must be programmable with C++ and provide functionality for implementation of 2D calibration data into the controller.
