Description
Climate control and cooling to PlantLab (www.plantresearch.no) with a cultivation surface of more than 300m2 have collapsed and it is urgent to get a solution in place so that research material is not lost. A new cooling installations will take too long time. Our solution is to have freestanding growth cabinets installed during a 3-4 month period, without external cooling. We currently have growth cabinets from Conviron of type GEN1000 and A1000. These have been tested in different types of experiments with a need for vertical or horizontal air flow, different types of LED lighting, set-up of lighting, spectrum on light and ratio between the light spectrums, input of water pressure, reverse osmosis (ionisation need) for input water, UV irradiation of water and sensitivity to bacteria and algae growth in water as well as humidification function and humidity. Choosing different cupboards than what we use today will be very risky. This procurement fulfils, according to our assessment, terms for direct procurement in accordance with FOA § 13-3(e).
