Je behandelt handhavingszaken op het gebied van onder andere gebruik van gronden die in strijd zijn met het bestemmingsplan/omgevingswet (waaronder permanente bewoning op recreatieparken), illegale bouw, APV, Alcoholwet Je behandelt handhavingstrajecten (juridische handhavingsprocedures); Je stelt juridische adviezen op; Je behandelt bezwaarschriften en vertegenwoordigt de gemeente mogelijk tijdens hoorzittingen; Je informeert bestuur en medewerkers over jurisprudentie en ontwikkelingen; Je verricht waar nodig de juridische kwaliteitscontrole over alle voorkomende werkzaamheden.
