Ermelo werkt aan verschillende gebiedsontwikkelingen beleidsopgaven en er zijn flinke ambities op het terrein van wonen, milieu, economie, onderwijs, leefbaarheid, welzijn en zorg, recreatie, duurzaamheid, mobiliteit. De opdracht is gericht op twee onderdelen: Het uitvoeren van taken rondom het beleid Afweging woningbouw, waarin woningbouwprojecten geprioriteerd zijn. De opdracht is vooral gericht op het afronden van een aantal bestaande projecten. De herontwikkeling van vrijkomende sportterrein/schoollocaties, waarbij zowel scholen als woningbouw in beeld zijn voor de herontwikkeling.
