Description
VF Affaldsenergi A/S har til hensigt at indgå i et samarbejde med Copenhagen Infrastructure Energy Transition Fund I SCSp ("CI ETF") om et Carbon Capture and Storage ("CCS")-projekt vedrørende CO2-emissioner fra affaldsforbrændingsaktiviteterne. Som en del af dette CSS-projekt skal der indgås en røggasaftale (”Flue Gas Supply and CO2 Off-take Agreement”) mellem VF Affaldsenergi A/S og et joint venture-selskab ("Gaia ProjectCo P/S"), som forventes at være ejet af CI ETF (70%) og VF Affaldsenergi A/S (30%) fra det tidspunkt, hvor endelig investeringsbeslutning træffes (med et 50%/50% ejerskab indtil da). The Flue Gas Supply and CO2 Off-take Agreement indeholder overordnet følgende ydelser: - Gaia ProjectCo P/S skal være ansvarlig for opsamling og - gennem tredjeparter - transport og lagring af CO2 fra VF Affaldsenergi A/S' affaldsforbrændingsanlæg. - VF Affaldsenergi A/S skal betale Gaia ProjectCo P/S for disse ydelser. - Den opsamlede CO2 består dels af fossil CO2 og dels af biogen CO2. - Indfangningen af biogen CO2 vil skabe omsættelige CO2-certifikater.
